Director Of Operations Cody J. KennedyCody J. Kennedy grew up in the Reno/Tahoe area, where he was born into the restaurant industry with dishwashing gloves on his hands. His parents ran several restaurants through out his childhood in which he slaved, and upon completion of high school, Cody traveled to Oregon to attend the Oregon State University. After a four year break from the hospitality industry, Cody graduated a fully fledge Beaver Believer, and moved back to Reno where he started his career at Viaggio Italian Cuisine and Wine Shop. Two years passed, and the business expanded to Henderson, Nevada (a suburb of Las Vegas), where Cody was in charge of the wine and beverage programs at both locations. A year and a half later and living in Southern Nevada, Cody took a position at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino running their wine program, which had a small inventory of $10,000,000. This experience accelerated his passion for wine and spirits, and led to his receiving of the first level sommelier. After streamlining the program for all of their ten outlets, he received a job offer for the new Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. He quickly established himself in their Italian restaurant and was soon asked to run all three of their fine dining establishments. Following two years of catering to the stars and the Vegas “fast life,” Cody’s passion for outdoor life and skiing called him to the champagne powder of the Colorado Rockies. Upon arrival, he teamed up with Ferzacca Management to service the Vail Valley with ZaccaZa Za (slang for pizza). Being nimble of mind and quick-on-the-uptake, Cody achieve his second level sommelier and added La Tour to his plate. This new opportunity as Director of Operations will allow him to delve into all spectrums of food and beverage, and bring passion and charisma to the guests. |
