Executive Chef Chase Wilbanks

Chase Wilbanks, Executive Chef of La Tour Restaurant has been fascinated with food since he was a young child.  Born with a love for the business, he began creating his own dishes at the tender age of 13.

Working side by side with a Certified Master Chef at 16, he learned the delicate art of melding flavors long before most.  Creating spectacular food became his favorite hobby.

Chase knew exactly what he wanted to do after high school and attended The Culinary Institute of America, in Hyde Park, New York and graduated in July 2004.  After graduation he relocated to Vail and joined the La Tour team as a line cook.  Under the direct supervision from Chef Paul Ferzacca, Chase was mentored in becoming one of the best young talents.

Chase decided to leave La Tour for more experience and took a position as Sous Chef at North Restaurant in Denver, Colorado.  His hard work and perseverance granted him the opportunity to become Executive Sous Chef.

Chase missed the mountain life and soon returned to La Tour as executive Chef in April 2008.
