Feb. 23, 2004 - Vail’s La Tour Restaurant & Bar Hires CTA Public Relations For Rebranding

Vail, CO – CTA Public Relations has been retained by La Tour Restaurant & Bar in Vail, Colorado, to design a new logo and Web site that reflects the contemporary, upscale look and feel of the award-winning restaurant that has established a reputation of being "where the chefs go to eat."

Owner and executive chef, Paul Ferzacca, took over La Tour in 1998, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Since then, he has turned this Vail Village landmark into a fun, contemporary French restaurant. While Ferzacca changed the interior design of La Tour to a modern, rich, contemporary feel, most importantly, he has upgraded the menu and has established a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list. Just this month, La Tour was voted by Vail Daily readers: "Best Food - Regardless of Price" and "Most Amazing Restaurant Service".

A Chicago native, Ferzacca obtained his early experience at Spiaggia Restaurant, The Ritz Carlton Hotel-Chicago, Hotel Intercontinental, and The Racquet Club of Chicago. He came to Vail in 1991 as Executive Chef of The Two Elk Restaurant atop Vail Mountain's China Bowl at the elevation of 11,250 feet. In 1995, Ferzacca opened the exclusive Game Creek Club, a fine dining chalet on Vail Mountain. Ferzacca has been honored at the James Beard House in New York as one of the best-undiscovered chefs in the country.

Ferzacca has also been an adjunct chef instructor at the Vail-based Johnson & Wales University--the only ski resort culinary school in the world. He is a mentor chef for the Battle Mountain High School ProStart program, which placed second in the nation last year. He is also a chef instructor for Colorado Mountain College American Culinary Federation apprenticeship program.

Once the logo has been developed, CTA Public Relations will design and launch a new Web site for La Tour where people can learn more about the restaurant’s world class menu, view the award-wining wine list, have access to recipes and other cooking tips, receive email alerts on special events, etc., and make dining reservations.
