EPICUREAN DELIGHTS AND COMMUNITY COMMITMENT SHINE AT LA TOUR

There are teachers, perhaps an inspiring mentor or sometimes a magically placed person who can unexpectedly lead one on the path to career satisfaction.

Paul Ferzacca, chef and owner of La Tour, Vail Village’s contemporary and hip French restaurant, had the good fortune of meeting such a person in 1984. It was then, in Ferzacca’s sophomore year, that his restaurant management instructor would unwittingly help make him the mid- university twist from architecture to the star chef he has become. Indeed, Ferzacca’s restaurant probably would not exist today but for that unlikely individual.
